Doing my own research and watching videos I realized my lawyers didn’t properly advise me on what to submit. I had to push the issue and submitted documents, after waiting so long that’s when I was scheduled for an interview. I even asked my lawyer if I should renew my medical since based on my research it was definitely needed since it was expired and they told me no smh. As soon as I walked in for my interview I was asked for the medical 🤦🏽‍♀️. The interview took half an hour, 15 minutes of which she was just typing on the computer. She asked where we both worked and our address, our DOB when we filed. The RFE was for the medical. It went well thanks be to God.

@hopeful which field office did you have your interview at? Our case sounds similar to ours. We submitted an RFE in February 2023 RFE in September 2023 and we responded immediately and nothing happened. We are actively working on the 3rd time in February 2024. I contacted our congressman in Aurora Illinois and they responded to the congressman that the case was scheduled for an interview but the date has not been set yet, we waited and nothing happened, so we relocated to another state in July 2024 and our address changed. In June 2025 after waiting a whole year to be scheduled for an interview, I contacted our congressman in Denver Colorado, God bless the day and the congressman of Denver Colorado, Those are the right leaders, they work diligently as promised not like some lazy ones that we know with zero follow-up. Anyway, the congressman of Denver Colorado responded within 24 hours and said we should give them 30 days to work on it and they got back 4 days after that the USCIS said there was a glitch in their system that was stopping the application from being scheduled for an interview. I'll copy and paste one of the emails.… I hope this email finds you well. I have just received a response from our liaison regarding your case, which I have copied below. Thank you for your inquiry, dated June 23, 2025, on behalf of your constituent XYZ, regarding their pending Form I-130 and I-485.. We have confirmed that this case remains pending at the Chicago Field Office. A review of the record indicates that Mr. XYZ submitted a Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card. The change of address places Mr. XYZ in the jurisdiction of the Denver Field Office. This case has been transferred to the Denver Field Office for interview scheduling and adjudication. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will contact your constituent directly when an interview is scheduled or if additional information is requested before the interview. Case status may be monitored online at https://egov.uscis.gov/. Given this response, I will follow up with our liaison on 7/28 to request an update on your case’s status. Please let me know if you have any questions or updates on your end. Within 24 hours my status changed to actively reviewing and a week later the congressman emailed that my case is now in the Denver field office. On July 21 my case status changed to interview scheduled and on August 25 I had an interview. It was straightforward they fits question was Where is your medical exam? The one on file has expired!!! Anyway, he asked the yes or no questions which I answered no to all as I have never committed or plan to commit any of those offenses he asked me and he said I had to do another medical. My I-130 got approved the next morning and I got an RFE for I-485 to submit a medical exam.

On July 21 my status changed to interview scheduled and on August 25 I had my interview, it was pretty straightforward the first question was Where is your medical exam? The officer said the one on file has expired. The officer asked the yes and no questions which I answered no to all as I have never and will never commit any of the offense questions he asked. Anyway, my I-130 got approved the next morning and I got an RFE for my I-485 to submit new medical. My advice for anyone going through the same is to contact their congressmen or women hopefully they will find a competent one like the one in Colorado who will follow you through the entire process. littlekiss M, my location is in Orlando and we’ve connected the congress office multiple times and received nothing at all. Our case does sound similar at the interview section. I do wish u all the best and in your future endeavors.
