Texas Processing - so Frustrating!
I see cases applied in January & April of 2021 being approved in the Texas center. What happened to February & March??!! This is so frustrating!! I just wish USCIS would give you updates.

It could also be due to people expediting. When you expedite you take away from the people ahead of you.

i am in same boat. no idea what’s going on with them, just provide with covid excuse all the time. it’s been 300 days for me too and no EAD yet. i wonder why they are processing applications with July and August PD if they haven’t cleared backlog. what kind of working process is this ?
Dawn ElhanaDec 30, 2021
I’m so tired of the Covid excuse. I don’t believe that is the reason. maybe they are short staffed, but even that should not make us all wait this long

@Dawn we applied in Feb 2021, and moved to Texas service center. we were approved end of June and have already had our interview and now awaiting the visa (husband also from Morocco). Try filing the K3. It’s free. we did in May and got the approval from USCIS in late June. we would’ve had interview even sooner but got held up because of one document at NVC that was uploaded incorrectly (I uploaded a blurry copy instead of the good one). Good luck to you!
Dawn ElhanaJan 1, 2022
@Kimmy Does the K3 require an emergency situation in order for them to process? how long did the K3 take in addition to your overall wait? what was your total overall time for the process?
K
Kimmy El BarqJan 2, 2022
@Dawn No the K3 does not require emergency. The K3 is free ti file and you don’t have to submit anything with the application. Now the K3 will probably be denied but this doesn’t hurt your case. what it does is cause USCIS to look at your original case since you can’t have two open cases. That is what makes them review your original case and then approve it. our NOA1 was February 8. In March, it said our case was under review, but nothing ever happened. most people get the “under review” and then just sit there for months and months. We submitted our K3 around May 4 as nothing had happened with our case. USCIS approved our case in June. our K3 was denied but we didn’t care because we only filed it so they would look and approve our CR1. We went to NVC July 1. We submitted documents by July 9. NVC is backlogged so it took until Sept for NVC to review. in Sept we were told that one of our documents was blurry. we had to resubmit and that put us at the back of the line again. so we applied for expedite and it was approved in November. my husband had his interview in December and now we are just waiting for his visa to be issued.

@kinmy TY for this information.. I wish I had this suggestion sooner as we are one of those couples that have just been waiting for months. I am happy that you were able to move your case quicker by doing this. I am sure your husband will have is visa soon to come to you,. Thank you again for this - we are going to this option a try, Happy New Year to you! 😊
