Termination after get the greencard
Hi guys. A friend of mine that got the GC 3 months ago, has been given a termination. Anyone knows if he could lose the GC or is he fine to look for another job and maintain it with no harm to his status?. The lawyer for his case (company lawyer) told him stay in the company between 6 or 12 months to avoid USCIS thinking he acted on bad faith. But he has been terminated, wasn't a bad faith on his side actually.
Any answer will be appreciated.
Thanks

He is good. He can look for another job. He is now a permanent resident. No job can force you to stay with them after you get a green card. He is free.

Ask him to keep all the proofs that he was terminated. when he starts his citizenship process and the USCIS question him why he left so early he'll be able to proof that it was terminated from the company part.

If termination was in good faith (lay-offs/restructuring) then its fine

doesn’t matter I believe. he didn’t leave the job, he got let go. Nothing he can do about it. shouldn’t be an issue during citizenship interview either.
