has anyone filed taxes married file separately? did you have issues getting your green card? is it better to file jointly? I’m not sure what to do. tia

Better to file jointly. But, if you have a valid financial reason why it’s better to file separately you can always explain if that is an issue.

You can file either joint or separate but NEVER SINGLE if you are still MARRIED
