Should your employer deduct FICA Taxes (Social Security and Medicare) while you're still on EAD/OPT and not GC?

yup! i paid all the taxes while I was on a TN visa…. and you don’t get any benefits from it 🙃

@w s only benefits I’ve seen is that it’s adding quarters towards your social security. I almost already cumulated enough to have my full social security for retirement
