Successful expedite request - Nebraska -EB2
Nov 16th 2021 - expedited my I-765 application though my local congresswoman’s office, they forwarded my request to USCIS on the same day Jan 21st 2022 - my congresswoman’s office followed up with UCSIS as there had been no status change or update. Jan 21st 2022 - case status updated to “Request for Additional Information Recieved” presumably referring to the evidence the congresswoman’s office had sent to support my expedite Feb 3rd 2022 - new card being produced Resason for expedite - personal and company financial loss Support evidence - summary cover letter, bills, rental agreement, support letter from company. My current EAD (linked to a different visa) expires in a little over 2-weeks. Thanks to this community for the guidance. Good luck to everyone, here is hoping we get our EADs and green cards in good time.

what was the reason for expedite?

@m b personal and company financial loss

@first last, If you believe you are entitled to an expedite, I wouldn't let having a working spouse deter you from requesting that expedite. First, the fact that you have a working spouse won't help your company with any issues that your departure might create. Secondly, losing well-paid H1-B employees from your household finances would still cause a lot of people difficulty but, I don't know your circumstances. I reached out to a congresswoman and that is what gave the request extra traction with USCIS. I presume that you have maxed out your H1-B extensions - I did know someone that was in a similar position and didn't know he could premium process his I-140.

@Marvin T, thank you and I am sorry to hear that you haven't been successful at expediting yet. I would highly recommend doing it through your local congressperson as USCIS appears to review those requests more closely. I also think it is somewhat of a lottery, I got lucky in getting my request approved.
