submitting unsolicited evidence
hello. I submitted my application on January 2025. I got my EAD and biometrics on February 2025. as right now my 485 is actively being reviewed by USCIS. so my question is would it be okay if I upload some new evidence? like banks statement new purchases insurances photos etc… would this help my case or will it slow it down? thanks

don't upload anything as yet. if you get an interview you take them with you

if you upload new evidence it can make process slower than usual as I know. you need to wait some times. if you didn’t get any news and if you have some option for expedite you can apply but you need to wait for interview bring all paper with you if your case at attend interview phase. process depends on case can take 3 months to 2,5 years. if it is marriage case and you married someone from army it is fast otherwise it can took almost 3 years to get. if you are lucky it can be faster than usual

@Jhoan A, i actually uploaded my tax refund documents to my portal since I got them. there has been no changes to my estimated timeline. uscis says they will take into consideration the timeline that unsolicited evidence as uploaded when making their decisions. I'm at the same stage in the process as you with similar timeline.
