still waiting
I’m starting to get concerned/losing hope. I filed standalone I-130 on September 21, 2023. My husband is abroad in Spain and doing consular processing. it’s been well over 500 days since I received the receipt notice. The last update I got from USCIS was September 22,2023 saying that it is being actively reviewed. I reached out to the congressperson for an update and have not heard anything. It’s been almost a month. Is there anything I can do other than wait? is this normal? it really sucks seeing people already done with the whole process and we haven’t had a single update. Also getting concerned with everything happening in government rn that it’s going to be even slower than it already is. advice?

Wow, that is really sad and frustrating, I do understand how you feel, when you see so many people getting approved that have submitted their application long after you it is very discouraging, but the only thing we can do is wait and trust God, I submitted my application in March 2024

Well, thanks be to God. I went for my interview on 1 May and I got approved. My green card is on the way., I am sure you will get through very soon because my PD was March 2023, and I am just getting through. My son is on my application and he is out of state so he will have to go to the consulate, I know that once I receive my green card, my son process will come through too, you may not have to wait any longer. God is going to let you get through soon,
