you’ll eventually get a case number via email and then the actual welcome letter will come from the embassy later. I’m still waiting on it after a few months

@andrew Todd when did you get approved?

It could take up to 90 days. For a while, USCIS wasn't even shipping approved petitions to NVC for 60 days. Once NVC has it, they will process within 30 days (making total wait time ~90 days for case number email from NVC). My NOA2 was May 5, 2023 and NVC Case # email received August 1. Hopefully things speed up and get back to having the process from approval to case # closer to 30 days!!

i got approved a few months ago. there will bule quite a wait at every step from here. still waiting on the embassy to send over the welcome letter and that’s been like 7 weeks~ since NVC emailed over the case number.

so you get an email with the case number from NVC when they send it to the embassy and then the welcome letter comes once the embassy is ready to move forward with you. ours got sent to ciudad Juárez in the middle of July and still nothing. i had a follow up this week that just says “you are in the appoiment queue”
