@Yas I I was able to file SR starting from this May. I filed it on May 2nd, but I am not expecting any good news from it. It didn’t work for my I-131 which also took far longer than average.

@Jun S @Yas I my I-131 approved on March 25 but still not received Advance Parol only received approval notice. I requested few times to Emma (Live agent) and they mentioned me that I need to submit E-Request. So, my Attorney submitted E-request (means SR) last April 23rd. But still there is no any updates. My Attorney told me we need to wait for more 30 days and then if no response then again SR. I don’t know how to deal with this situation. Do you guys have any idea about this situation?

@F A Wow that’s really unfortunate. I received my AP document about 3 weeks after approval update. I heard there is something called Infopass which allows you to have direct communication with USCIS, but I don’t know any further details about it.

@Yas I @F A excuse me guys, I’m pretty unfamiliar with what SR is and how to reach out to the congressman. I’m in pretty similar situation as you all. My PD is 10/20/2022 and i140/485 were submitted back in Oct 2023. Got everything except approval for I485. The case was transferred to NBC 3/1. 1. am I still within normal time frame for my I485? 2. do you mind explaining what SR is how filing that can help? 3. what my option is with the congressman? Sorry about throwing out so many questions😓Been waiting awhile and slowly running out of patience😭I started the whole process 2 1/2 years now

@Young Hwan Kim You look to be within normal timeline. Find USCIS processing time webpage, select 485 and your field office, see the average processing time, scroll down the page, you can enter your 485 receipt date, if you are out of normal processing timeframe, you can submit service request (=case inquiry), otherwise it tells you the date you have to wait until for the service request. However, don’t expect something good from service request (SR). It usually responds in 30 days with automated message telling you that you are in normal processing timeline please wait lol. For congressman, find your local congress representative, go his/her webpage, there should be a page where you can ask for admistrative help including delayed USCIS process. Same here. Don’t expect something to be resolved. Better to do something rather than doing nothing but it only relieves you for a short period of time. That’s it. 🥲

@Young Hwan Kim Yes agreed with @Jun S . My attorney filed the service request so I don’t know much about it. But, for sure it’s easy to file it by yourself online. Just type E-request or service request USCIS and you will find the webpage. I am just waiting till May 29th then my Attorney will call them on my Behalf and will take confirmation regarding my applications. In addition, I will try congressman after that.

@Jun S my pd is june 22, submitted I-485 in Oct 2023, biometrics Nov 2023, no update so far, I always got stuck in Security check, maybe all your security checks havnt been cleared, where are you from?

@Young Hwan Kim Use emma chat to figure out which field office is handling your case. If yours is still with NBC, you will have to wait until yours get transferred to any field office.
