has anyone on here applied for your step child’s green card on your own? what is the process. do you recommend doing it in your own or paying a lawyer. she already has her tourist visa and only comes to the US to see us on holidays. so she would be staying in Mexico during this whole process.

My husband applied for my daughter we did everything on our own. just watch some YouTube video on how to properly fill out the form. and see what documents needed. you can even applied online. most you need is civil documents and passport photos. My daughter was approved 3 months ago she’s here with us now. hope that help

Almost 3 years. I had to call the congressman to speed it up

but every state is different I’m in Texas and they take long here. word of advice file online it goes quicker. I did paper file
