Status during I485 filing
I am worried about my status while my i485 is filed. I graduated in December 11, 2021 and i applied for my OPT EAD. I received my OPT EAD and my start date was Feb1,2022 and my i485 was received by USCIS in March 10,2022. Even if i had OPT EAD i was unemployed during the time of my 485 filing. My case says its ready to be schelude for interview. Will this have any effect in my case?

you should be good. since you were in initial opt and you didn’t cross the 90 days grace period , you are fine . and in initial opt you don’t have to be in payroll.

@Y A does the 90 days grace period start from program end date on i20 or it starts from OPT start date in EAD?

@sam a it’s been 8 months since ready to be scheduled for interview. hasn’t got notice yet . uscis sucks
