Hello, I got my work permit two months ago, went to the ssn office and got just got my social a week ago but it says valid for work only with hds authorization. I have a dmv appointment coming up. Would I be able to get my real id if my social has that restriction?. By the way, I just got my green card 2 weeks ago.. you guys think i will be able to get my real id ? I just don’t want to reschedule my dmv appointment since they might take a while

Lol its not hds, it is DHS department of Homeland Security. Yes, you will get a real ID. Make sure bring your green card and 2 proof of address. Later go to SSN office and get a regular SSN with no restrictions since you have green card now.
