If immigration did not apply for it you need to go there and apply .
if immigration applied to you, you just need to wait for the card in the mail.
in the application form of your petition you can see if they checked for immigration to apply for the Social Security number or not.

@bianca my sons and daughters ead got approved the same day. my daughters SSN arrived 4 days later and my sons was 1 month later

you should wait another week . cos sometimes the SSN comes before the EAD and same way the opposite

IMO, you can still go to ssa office even though you mentioned that USCIS should send your information to ssa. when you get there they will tell you if they got such information and if they’ve issued it or not. and if they haven’t they will. so it’s a win win. note: go with your passport and EAD
