@Rapheal duo You can’t start work without your social security number since you have to fill your number during your job in take for taxes to be taken out. 2 months is a long time. Are you sure you have them the right address? I suggest you place a call to them.

@Rapheal duo but you bear different first names and your work permit case number are different.

I got mine after 2 weeks in Newark New Jersey. They told me the estimated time was 4 weeks but I got it in 2 weeks

you can go to a SSN office and get one if you already have your EAD, no need to wait for USCIS to send you one. I did it twice, first time I got my EAD I went in and got one, and when I lost mine while moving, so had to go into their office again. It’s super simple.

any updates on people still waiting for their ssn since applying?
