SS card
Hi guys! A month ago I got my EAD card and as recommended by everyone I went to the SS office to get my SS number and they gave it to me after a week. Now my lawyer has told me they have also received my SS card as it was marked in the form to get it as well. Can someone have 2 SS cards? what do I do in this situation?

no you can’t have two different number
if same number that is fine just keep one at home or destroy it
if different numbers take them and go to SS office and explain to then what is going on , they will fix it

just collect the card from your lawyers it should be the same number or a copy of your ssn. if it isn’t contact ssn directly don’t need your lawyers to be involved in this! you can contact ssn directly if you have 2 numbers issued which is very rare. only one will be active. they will let you know which one is active and you keep and use that one. either way you will have to go back to the ssn office to update your card when you get your GC so that they can remove the conditions on it @Claudia Miranda

My lawyer has confirmed is the same number! she says I do not need to do anything just save them. Thank you for your help!
