Sponsoring Parents / Adjustment of Status
Good day everyone, I’m preparing to sponsor my mother who is currently residing in the U.S on a travel visa so I guess I need to apply for her adjustment of status. What documents and forms should I prepare ahead of time for her and myself as the sponsorer? Should we do medical examination ahead of time or wait for the application to be called? Does anyone know how much it will approximately cost if I seek help from a immigration firm? Does anyone have a trustful lawyer firm who can help me with the process for affordable price? I’d love to get professional help instead of doing it myself, incase I get something wrong and the time for RFE is long. Thank you all very much!!!! #I-130 #I-145 #I-864

Good luck! one thing you should adhere to is that there is a 90 day rule where your Mom should not apply until that time has passed. If you did she can be hit with a misrepresentation and the process gets more complicated. FYI I learnt that from Hackings Show.

Thank you for the advices. I thought while she’s already in the U.S, we must do AOS.

@M Ng just make sure she clears 90 days before you apply and you should be fine.
