speeding ticket citation
I would be applying for citizenship next years under the 3 year rule, bacame a permanent resident on 2022, my question is, I had a speeding ticket on 2020 that I know I have to disclose on the n400 application I had to pay a fine of 280 dollars for the speeding so I was wondering what kind of document should I attach to my application for this matter? certified court docket showing the disposition and that I paid the ticket and the case is closed is enough? or should I also add the confirmation payment as well? I would appreciate your answers thank you so much.

USCIS doesn’t care about speeding tickets ok. you don’t need to send it. if you owed irs money you need to prove that by sending a letter showing that you have payment plan with irs.

I had a speeding ticket and disclosed it on my application (and you should disclose any citations). Be clear and honest. Yes, just show the resolution of the citation on the application: paid a fine of $280. The court should have a receipt/documentation that you would be able to get and upload. I had my interview recently and the office asked me about the citations. Everything went just fine because everything was disclosed, resolved and documented properly. Hope this helps.

UScis does no( ask for traffic tickets unless it’s a dui or high penalty fee of more 500 dollars or so. it’s on the instructions
