you can contact your local SSA to schedule appointment and fill the form SS-5 in advance. Once appointment is scheduled, bring with you your filled form, passport, EAD. Some SSA offices may require applying by mail, so send a certified USPS mail with the form and copies of passport and copy of EAD.

nah. SSN through EAD is under USCIS jurisdiction. you local SSA won’t do anything for you. you just have to wait
