Social security card
I just got my social security number in the mail , it's stamped "Valid for work only with DHS Authorization" does the number allocated remain mine forever? and can I use this number to open a back account ? what happens to the number after I get my green card approval?

Did u request the ssn at Social Security Office or it just arrived in your mail after the form approved?

@sky Blue once u get your Greencard take your social security to the office close to and they are going to take it from you and mail back the same number without the DHS Authorization
