hey my lawfully family, a very happy New Year to you all
I applied for my social security last week but they told me homeland security did not verify my status in the system as yet. anyone with same proem? please let me know. thank you

hi it happened to me in 2019 I had to wait 3 months and it did not come from my local ssc office it came from DHS

book for an in office appointment . same they told me I had to schedule an appointment to fill out the form and the card came in a week after

what should I take to my local ssn office to apply for my ssn because my passport is expired,can I go with my expired passport and work authorization to apply for my ssn.

From my own experience, the local ssn office will wait for DHS to verify your ead, and that usually takes 14 days. I think you should be calling them every 48 hours to know the update.

@ sharmy sharmy I went in with my EAD and my passport/driver’s license and the lady used my information from the EAD and verified it with my passport information. so if you have a green card or EAD take it with you also your passport.

I kept calling for over 3wks and they kept saying the same thing. so I scheduled an appointment and went in with the documents I got from uscis and also my passport/ drivers license. I filled out a form and my ssn came in a week later
