try to reach out to em. sometimes case can be delayed because of FBI background check or they must have forgotten about your case. so reach out to congresswoman or senator to help check on your case. It doesn’t help but it does bring back a dead case alive.

@Rajpreet Kaur I did, in January. They contactsd the USCIS for me, but they were told it is “still within normal processing time” and that I can only enquire after the date found in the enquiry tool. Of course that date is constantly extended. The date used to be May 2025, then June, then July, then August, and now is September. They are basically moving the goal post. It’s a complete joke. The same application can be processed within one day in the UK. There is simply no reason a US citizen should have to wait YEARS for their spouse to be allowed to join them. It’s pathetic. I tried to contact the congressman again but they “can’t do anything more.”

@congratulations V Unfortunately I’ve done everything…contacted them, used Congressman, everything. They give the same response. “Within normal processing time.” It’s a disgrace.

I think if it goes past month of May then a mandamus should be the next step

@Fuzz Muzz same mine on website keep saying 12 months and I already passed 12 months but also they are keep saying normal processing time and they said 16 months hopefully we will hear back from them but as a US citizen why it is taking so long for it shouldn’t be. they should processed it after 12-14 months. did yiu try to appeal for different service center?

@Lad Casil My case started in Nebraska, moved to Texas a few months later, and has been stuck in Vermont for like 12 months now.

@K W I simply refuse to pay $5k (roughly) for something that they should do as a basic service for their citizens.

@congratulations V I reached out to them again a few weeks ago but they were insisting theres nothing more they can do until its past the inquiry date (Sept), which means after its been 2 years. Which is insane.

@Fuzz Muzz with the delay try to contact Emma live agent. i know some may be helpful with information and some less. try to reach out and see if they have any information for you. they can at least tell you what’s going on. but just know that some will give you a generic answer. that’s okay. but try to talk to em politely. you may get a good good live agent. just an opinion.

@Fuzz Muzz I read somewhere about immigrantion it mentioned you can talk to USCIS on phone and ask for it. If you think your service center is not doing anything. But it is a rare that they can transfer to another service centre

@Fuzz Muzz I am afraid that soon this will be our only option to pay for a mandamus to know what’s going on…
