since the USCIS is taking a long time processing most of immigration cases I decided to take a chance and travel abroad with my advance parole combo card
i have a small issue I’m not sure if that will be a problem upon return to the United states
my name on my passport contains 4 sections
first , middle , grandfather name , last name
on my AP combo card my first name and middle name and my last name spelled a %100 perfect
my grandfather name spelled wrong on my approval letter
advance parole has only first , Initial and last name and on the back of it there’s a code there’s a barcode with the first middle grandfather and last name which is the same name on the approval letter and My grandfather name spelled wrong should I still use it or just don’t take the resk

I won’t travel until I got the green card . but it’s up to you there is also another safe way that most peolple don’t know . Apply for global entry ( type on google ) , the costum border officer will give an interview at their office you can show them proof of legal residency in US then they will give you a combo card once approved .also they will register your valid passport on the system . Now this is what happen .. every time you come from abroad you just go by the kiosk and get a ticket for entry you won’t have to show anything or deal with border officers since you’re already on the system .

I won’t travel untill I get my green card. But If you really have an emergency in your country ask for an attorney advice quickly. good luck!

when you get the card, first thing is that if there are any mistakes you should correct it. the other thing is that depending upon where your connecting flight will be, you will have different experience with how officers treat AP card. my friend had connection in Europe before fliying to US and they were questioning her for 5 hours. they let her go but she said she will never fly with AP card any more. I guess with mistake in your card it will make more problems. does not worth the risk
