Congratulations! The waiting game just started! The current priority date is August 1st, 2007. So, it is about 12 years more of waiting. I hope it moves faster !!

how come 2019 case got approved so early when priority date is 2007 @Adam T

@Manvir K @peter vl. priority date is Sep 27, 2019 and USCIS is currently “giving” Green Card for people who had submitted I-130 on or before August 1st,2007. Unfortunately, when case get approved has nothing to do when your visa will become available ( your priority date beccome current, and get your Green card). Like back in 2013 I had pending I-130 through my parent F2B which was approved in less than 6 months, but that changed nothing. I had to wait until 2019 when my priority date become current that is when I was able to submit I-485 adjusting my status from F-1 student visa. So, if my I-130 had been approved in say 2018 it would not have made any different other than knowing that the application is all good. I am not trying to discourage anybody but back then I did not know all of that, I thought once my I-130 is approved then I can submit I-485 and get my green card.

you right guy, but the only thing Im inside the country allready. so I don't need no visa I'm going straight to adjustment of status. once I gpt A work permit and my travel document aprove Im good.

@peter vl. Thank you! I am very curious here that how you were able to get I-131 and pending I-765 with having current priority date ? This is not straight brother/sister case? mind me asking

I'm haitian I'm in the country under TPS and tps gives access to work permit and travel document. but under my I130 I don't have nothing yet. Im just gonna do adjustment of status in rhose day.

@peter vl. thanks for the information. I got your point. my f4 was filed on 7 July 2012 and I recently got an email on 13 June 2024 that your case has been shifted to elis. so what exactly they do after this? do you have any idea. thanks

waow it s a long time @Manvir like a say, Im really fortunate because Im already in the country, so once my I130 is aprove right now I just Have to make an adjustment of status coz Im imside Already, so once I apply I will apply with work permit and travel document again. but in your case you will have to wait for your case to be available in an ambassy this process I don't have to do it.
