Should we have submitted i485 with i130/i130a?
Should we have submitted the i485 with the i130/i130a? My husband is American, I am Canadian and will be home through the process. We submitted the i130/i130a last night. Should we submit the i485 as well? The goal is to be able to work as soon as everything is approved.

If you are in USA, you can file I-485 concurrently, print the receipt you get from your I-130 submission and send I-485 , I-765, I-131, I-864, I-944 and I-693 thru mail asap! (amount =$1225 total) You can start working as soon as your I-765 is approved! might take 5-6 months from the time of your submission

So, with just the i130/i130a, and then the afivadit of support, I'll be able to work in USA? I'm a bit confused. I think I may contact one of the lawyers here.

i believe it’s the i-130; when approved you file for consular processing and then have the interview in Canada... I don’t think there’s an option where you work in thé US before then interview at the consulate BradyOO7 has the list of paperwork if you were in thé US for thé process - it’s different and has a travel permit and employment authorization application that you would need to file (i-131 ant i-765)
