Should I submit form I-131 at the same time with other forms to be a permanent resident?
Should I submit form I-131 at the same time with other forms to be a permanent resident? As far as I know/stated on the USCIS website, form I-131 or a re-entry Permit for a lawful permanent resident to be admitted to the
United States upon returning from abroad during the permit’s validity. While right now I am not yet a lawful permanent rsdnt. Thanks.

Are you currently in the US? If so, have you submitted I-485 along with your I-130.
I-131 is used for many applicants for many different purposes. If you are in the US and have or do not have a plan to travel outside of the US while I-485 is pending, you can submit I-131 along with your I-485 or at any points you wish.

Hi Diyan! can you please tell me how long it took to get the receipt for form I 130 and I 485?

I got the receipt for I-130 only couple days (about 1 week) after it's sent. But for I-485, I've sent it a month ago and no receipt yet til now. I have emailed them at lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov but no answer yet. it's also important to check if your money order is cashed or not.

Thank you Diyan! This is the reason I want to call my wife on Student visa rather B1/B2 visa so that I do not have to worry about time. On B1/B2 visa you have 90 days to get the receipt else you have to travel back to your country.
