Hi guys,
I called USCIS over a week ago requesting to expedite my I-765 that’s is pending but up till now responses yet, no officer assigned. Is there another way to get premium process without this steps.
My application is pending over 2months now. My OPT EAD ends January 1st and I’m about losing my job because I didn’t extend the OPT EAD and also I-765 application under I-485 receipt cannot be used.
Any idea on what to do guys! USCIS keep telling me to wait whenever I chat or speak with them. I also involved my congresswomen and no good responses.

@ yes however I didn’t extend to STEM OPT because I’ve indicated immigrant intent as advised by my attorney.

You can still do stem opt even if you have aos pending. There are several examples of people who have successfully done so, Google it. Some are even on Reddit. Jim Hacking on Hacking immigration forum always advices people on his show to do as well. My thought is to process that and get the automatic 180 day extension to continue working until your AOS EAD is available. This is if your current job qualifies for STEM OPT and you can get the paperwork in before the break. You are good to continue working as long as the paperwork has been filed online. Best.

You are allowed to continue to work while your OPT extension is pending and that will help buy you more time https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/students-and-exchange-visitors/optional-practical-training-extension-for-stem-students-stem-opt

Thanks all for your responses. I wanted to go ahead and extend the STEM OPT ab initio but my attorney responses got me scared. Now, I don’t know if I have much time to begin the processes before my current EAD expires.
