Sep 27,2022 anyone with similar PD?
Has anyone had a similar timeline?
My EB-4 priority date (September 27, 2022) is finally current 🎉, and my I-485 is still pending.
One thing I found interesting is that on July 15, my case status was updated to “Case Was Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken,” even though I actually completed biometrics years ago. My lawyer said we don’t need to do anything right now except wait for USCIS to send an RFE for my medical, and she expects we should hear something in the near future.
Has anyone else had their fingerprint status update years after they originally completed biometrics? If so, how long after that did you receive your medical RFE or approval?
Also, at what point would you consider contacting your congressional representative for a case inquiry? Would you wait a while now that my priority date is current, or would you reach out sooner? And if you did contact your congressperson, did you let your attorney know first, or did you handle it yourself?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your timelines and experiences. Thanks!
also I’m thinking of doing my medical now that visa bulletin is current in August so that it can avoid decision delay.

applied years ago in 2022 did biometrics same year received EAD c09 same year. last year Feb 2025 received RFE medical. currently case still stuck at RFE sent since last year. case was paused due to visa unavailability. hopefully they will resume processing by August

same here, I got the same update on July 15

@Lucien J wow they haven’t asked me for RFE yet and I didn’t submit my medical because I know it will expired anyways before final decision. finger crossed hopefully we shall receive some updates in August.

@yen d glad I’m not the only one
hopefully that means it’s our turn

My PD is 5/2022
They requested my medicals twice, last time was in May and the first was in 6/2024. Not sure if it is recommended to send more documentation after you sent your application. My lawyer advised to wait for the RFE and that’s what I did
I’d do some research and ask if anyone had done this before you
I’d personally advise you to wait for RFE, especially after they requested me the medicals twice… you can ask Emma to see if there’s anything missing on your application form (likely not otherwise you’d be notified with their request) so maybe they didn’t get to this point yet

same update still waiting

Many people got the message on July 15th. My lawyer said it’s as a result of the new mandatory FBI checks. You getting the message means your background check was completed.
zakoza laz3d
@candy candy your PD will be current in August.
yen d3d
@zakoza laz How sure are you about the background check being completed, then you receive the message?
Aside from your lawyer did you speak to an agent?
yen d3d
@candy candy Amen cause the long wait is frustrating

My priority date is June 2022, and to this day they haven't requested an RFE; my lawyer says we should just wait, as there's nothing else to be done 🫠

I’m just curious as to why people wait to send the medical exam, my lawyer made me send mine along with my I485 and I765
Erik Hernandez3d
@m ab Not all lawyers work the same way; my lawyer didn't want to submit the medical exams for my case when he filed the application. Then, when USCIS requested the exams the following month, my priority date became unavailable and my case was put on hold; it has been pending since February 2025 with no movement yet.
m ab3d
@Erik Hernandez is there a reason he didn’t wanna send them with your I485? I can only imagine it makes the process faster. anyway I wish you all the good luck in the world 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 we will all be fine soon
TRS Hopefully3d
@m ab It could be because it used to expire after 2 years coupled with the delay. So, the money spent on the exams is lost. Then you have to have it done again, paying again.
m ab3d
@TRS Hopefully ohh that makes sense too! thank you so much for your answer! I appreciate it

@m ab
You’re welcome. Also note that they came out with a new rule that it doesn’t expire again. Starting from those submitted late 2023.

@TRS Hopefully interesting. I didn’t know they changed it! again, thank you because I was really curious!!
