second initial interview request
I had my first interview with my spouse at Albany field office on 06/25/25 and got RFE for medical, my medical was received on 07/01/25, 11/04/25 I got notified that my interview got cancelled, USCIS said it must be a system glitch regarding the cancellation notice and my case is in processing, today 12/08/25 I got and update from USICS requesting another initial interview on 01/12/26, I am confused with it, have anyone had gone through the same situation

just be prepared and expect them 50/50 to separate you and your spouse for questioning.

be fearless , I had a stokes interview without a lawyer and still performed exemplary. uscis officer wrote “ did not find any misrep after the interview “

Honestly, even if they told you it was a system glitch, go to that interview. I’ve seen way too many people get denied over stuff like this, and once you get denied, you’re the one who ends up paying for it
new filing fees, new process, new headache.
If it were me? I’d still show up. Worst case, they turn you around at the door. Best case, you save your case from getting messed up because of something that wasn’t even your fault.
So please just go. Protect yourself.

This second interview notice means you need to be ready for anything. Even though they’re calling it an “initial interview,” you already had one
so there’s always a chance they’re treating this like a deeper review. It could still be a regular follow-up, but once USCIS brings you back a second time, you’ve gotta keep your head on a swivel.

And yes, still stay mentally at a 30% chance of a Stokes interview, because once you’ve already been interviewed once, the next one can go in any direction. It might be normal, it might be more detailed, or it might be Stokes-level. So prepare for all interview types documents tight, answers straight, relationship proof on point.

Do you have an approved I-130? Have you overstayed your visa? I had it on July 1st and still nothing.

my I 130 got rejected earlier coz 485 was not approved it was filed concurrently
