Seattle field office approved after 568 days, interview waived
Got an RFE for the medical exam. Once I submitted the results, I got approved in two weeks.
If you're waiting, hold on! It comes out of nowhere!

in the RFE, did they specifically ask you to submit your I-693 medical examination form or was it a courtesy letter? I got a letter saying my I-693 form was missing from my application but the letter specifically told me not to send anything if my case involves an interview during the process. It told me to bring it to the interview. Since I’m in the same category as you are I will eventually get an interview. I’m just confused as to why they made you submit that form while they told me to hold on to it.

I got a letter like yours a few weeks after applying (2 years ago or so).
I also expected an interview - by my understanding, when your interview gets scheduled they'll ask you to bring I-693 with you. Instead I received an RFE in March saying I needed to do the exam and submit the form by June. Once I submitted it the case was approved.

congratulations! may I ask what was your marriage date ? it seems they may want to avoid passing the 2 year marriage anniversary mark for GC decisions.

february 2020. I'm assuming I'm going straight to unconditional but will find out when I get the card...

@jay91 you have a point tho
Tobi OApr 22, 2022
but what made you think so? and what’s your FO?
Tobi OApr 22, 2022
because July 23 will make my marriage 2 years and I have gotten the case is ready to be scheduled for interview since 27th December making it 115 days waiting to be scheduled for interview

Congrats!! I also got my leter saying they are missing my medical exam on a yellow paper like a year ago (May 2021).
Do you think if I submit my medical now would my 485 move faster?
I didn't get any letter from them ans asked me to submit my 693 tho.
A RApr 22, 2022
Do NOT submit your i-693 before they ask you for it. I have no idea what the ramifications of this would be, but it could very well slow things down.
A RApr 22, 2022
@tobio i had about 250 days between "ready to be scheduled for interview" and receiving the medical exam RFE

@A R, okay thank you! Seattle takes forever 😭 I wish they waive my interview as well! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

that is awesome, I got the same thing last month.Did your letter state anything else or just RFE? my mentioned to submit more documents for proof of marriage but it wasn’t stated as something I must do, just as an advice. did you get that too?
A RApr 24, 2022
My RFE was just for the medical exam

anyone get any updates???
Liz MCNov 19, 2022
in the same boat, asked Emma for update and was told my interview was waived February 2022. so now I’m confused on what do with the courtesy letter. October 2021 was when I submitted I485
