I just received 2 notifications, 1 from the 18th stating request for additional evidence and 2nd one today stating request for initial evidence.
Did anyone encountered this before? I included all evidence I can think of on my application. It just feels weird that they are requesting 2 types of evidence from our case.

I am not sure why the two notifications but in regards to the request for initial evidence they ask for stuff that you already submitted litterally all the time. on my EAD renewal last year I got a RFIE for pictures! Once I got one for a copy of my passport…all docs I already submitted. I personally think is a strategy to be able to table an application for a couple of weeks…. but maybe I’m just cynical. Hi Ann, did they update your status in USCIS website when they sent you the RFE? like it's showing they requesting for additional evidence? thanks
