RFE Response Not Received

Hi everyone, I submitted an RFE response for the medicals for my I-485 case, which was delivered to the Anchorage Field Office in early November (confirmed by FedEx). However, when my lawyer called USCIS, they said they don’t have a record of receiving it. With the RFE deadline approaching in early January, I’m getting worried. My lawyer mentioned resubmitting, but I’m concerned it could complicate things. Has anyone dealt with this before? Did you resubmit, and if so, did it cause delays or issues? Thanks so much for any advice!

@G S It's not uncommon. I think it happens because someone at USCIS has not updated case status on your case (which has to be done manually). I don’t think agents at USCIS contact center knows detailed information about your case. As long as you keep the proof of RFE package delivery, there is no need to worry.

I've sent a response to an RFE and the status didn't change until a week after the delivery date. However, I'd think resubmitting and delaying process is better than risking getting denied. Anyway, check with your lawyer and do your best, good luck

same thing happen to me when I sent my RFE. I made sure that it was delivered and singed. my status didn’t change. I just received a notification after 60 days that it’s been approved and will be mailed to my address. so don’t worry about it. just wait for the approval notice. AMEN 🙏??
