it’s normal. they received my RFE In October 2023 and approved my 485 in September 2024.

@Alice <3 that doesn’t matter. active review is very often, inactive. you just need to wait.

@Alice <3 I am curious what the ref was for? I got one. They asked for a longer form birth certificate and my medical. I guess they could deny you but there would need to be a reason. Also, if they are going to deny you let’s say because they think you do not have a legitimate marriage, they will interview you or ask for more information. I replied to mine in June and nothing. I am at day 204 and do not have a social security yet. My lawyer told me they will interview if they have concerns. Mine is getting married a few days after I came on a visitor visa. However, I had no intention to stay in the US. I am okay with them questioning it.

@Kingsley B the RFE was for I-865, it wasn't specific at all, just a bunch of fill text of the I-865 guidelines. It was so vague we really had to consider what they were asking for. I realized I submitted my tax return but not my W-2s so I'm fairly certain that's what the RFE was for. I also had put my yearly income as my income based on current pay rather than projected income for 2023 (I had a job change mid-year). In the end I submitted a whole new I-865 document, my W-2s, and my pay stubs for time elapsed since submission
