RFE received for I130 not having joint account
hello, we had our interview for I-130. filed online and the officer was asking for joint checking account which we did not have. we sent joint tax returns, joint savings, 401k, joint house purchase. but he wants to see the joint checking with all our activities. asked us to upload evidence online. didn’t receive any letter for RFE. Any suggestions?

are they even serious ? joint checking account?? . You have savings, 401k, taxes and house purchase. This list evidence holds sufficient weight. I’m totally convinced now that we will all go insane eventually with USCIS 😣

@Rocco Forté we did open a joint checking now. they want to see both our direct deposits in that account including everyday purchases and bill payments. we never use debit card for any purchases though.

@God’s child they are nitpicking at this point. we have been married for 7 years now and lived together since then. we have utility bills on our names, filed tax joint tax return since last 6 years. had joint savings since last 4 years. life insurance, medical etc on both our names. very frustrating

@Mimi Karma the officer told us to upload additional evidence in the online portal, he didn’t mention that we would be getting an RFE notice.

@Emmet D we did open a joint checking after the interview but not sure if they are going to pick on us saying we opened the account just now just for submitting evidence
