RFE question; Parent of US citizen child born in America
hi guys thanks for all your help and advice in advance.I applied as a parent of a US citizen child born in America September 20 21 October 2021 my biometrics was scheduled, and completed. I got a message today that an RFeE request for evidence was issued despite receiving a message from them one month ago that all my forms and documentation is complete and nothing was pending so I’m wondering what could be generating an RFE.Have any of you guys had a similar kind of experience. I did not submit my Medicals so could that be the RFE I’m a bit surprised with this message.I’m surprised because after they receive all the documentation they sent me a message saying that everything was complete and there’s nothing pending so I’m thinking to myself if there’s any missing documents they would’ve raised at that time anyways just wondering if you folks can give any suggestions or advice I should be getting the RFE in the next couple of days and I’ll update you as soon as I get it

Did you submit your medical with your application? It might be that
Natalie RodriguezJan 11, 2022
Just read over your comment, it might be your medical
Thomas johnJan 11, 2022
No ! If you would call at that time in 2021 September nobody knew what was going on with Covid in on you whether or not we would be open for biometrics or for that matter for Medicals therefore the thought process was to just go ahead and fly and wait and see what comes by but thanks very much for your advice and your recommendation I think you’re probably right it could be an RV it defeats me beyond my brain why they would send me send me anything else because they themselves send me a document saying that all my application document everything was complete I can attach that if you would like to see that but it could only be the RFP for a medical because that is the only thing pending if I look at the message previous message it said your application is not complete there’s nothing pending and if we need somer thing we will requst that from u

Natalie RodriguezFeb 3, 2022
Hi Thomas. I had my interview on January 18, was approved on the spot and had my green card on January 29th
Natalie RodriguezFeb 3, 2022

Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022

Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022
who provided ur financial support forms
Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022
when did u do Medicals how much
Natalie RodriguezFeb 3, 2022
The yes and no questions, a big one is if you overstayed your immigrant visa. If they asked if you ever violated your immigrant visa, you have to say yes and that you overstayed, otherwise they could cite that you for misrepresentation. My medical costed $656 and that was only because I didn’t have my vaccination record so I did the immunity test so I didn’t need the MMR and Varicella vaccines. I got the TDAP and flue shot at CVS. My daughter was my sponsor and she makes over $70k on her own so I didn’t need a co sponsor. Just be sure to submit 6 months of pay stubs W2’s tax transcripts and 1040’s so they don’t have to ask for anything else. Also I didn’t use a lawyer I prepared my own application because I couldn’t afford a lawyer

thanks again congrats
Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022
I didn’t overstay my visa current on valid td visa
Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022
where did u do ur Medicals please
Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022
I have last three years irs transcripts
Natalie RodriguezFeb 3, 2022
I’m in Central Massachusetts! The prices are crazy but keep calling and get a quote so you know what to expect. Also if you don’t have your vaccination records and you were vaccinated as a child then do the immunity test. The first thing they did was offer to vaccinate me but I declined and did the test and didn’t need the vaccines

I am in Chicago thanks so very much for that information that’s such a brilliant idea thanks much !!!
Natalie RodriguezFeb 3, 2022
You’re welcome and good luck on your interview, although I believe everything will work out in your favor. Let me know how things go, just have faith it would be over soon
Thomas johnFeb 3, 2022
thanks it’s been heart wrenching and in the midst I lost my mom while I submitted the first time that’s why I was distracted in my 864 forms and missed the 864a forms or complete irs transcripts for my daughter and Joint sponsor for my daughter the lawyers wanted me to submit proof of filing 0 return irs provides such a form on the website since she is a college medical student we missed her irs transcripts just submitted no tax proof of zero income from irs just wrote zero. Now I know reading instructions everyone has to submit tax documents from irs even if filed zero taxes. Irs has docs on every person what they filed which immigration needs. Thanks for the positive vibes and congrats

forgot to ask u if u submitted Medicals before the interview or at the interview. thanks again
Natalie RodriguezFeb 3, 2022
I submitted mine at the interview. Sometimes as the parent of a US citizen they waive the interview. If you get another RFE for medical then that would be great because they can make a decision without the interview. But if you do have to go to an in person interview then be sure to give the IO the medical as soon as you start the interview because sometimes they forget to ask for it.
