Hello BB. I’m reading your message and my heart just felt frustrated for you. Many times when calling the USCIS I felt my voice was not there. And this comes from a person. Who’s a very big advocate for people having voices. When I did receive a call one time from a USCIS officer, every part of my dignity within three minutes was ripped apart. It was so inappropriate I remember feeling like I was walking on glass when just trying to ask him to repeat this question. I have three kids from my previous marriage and it got to a point where he even told me that my disabled son was a mistake. Very unprofessional person who is holding the keys to your life. He actually said he was going to put things in my file to make it very very hard for me to get approved because I asked him to repeat himself after he said the comment about my child and he didn’t repeat it and knew he made a mistake. The conversation was over in eight minutes. I end up reporting him to the USCIS for an agent who is unprofessional. I did not know they were going to follow up, but they did in about a week. Someone called me. I asked for someone to pull the car to listen to it. That agent who called back did and you can tell they were apologetic and trying to explain what the officer should’ve explained without all of the abuse. I pride myself of having a voice growing up as a kid, knowing what it’s like not to have one. during this process, I have had to learn to silence my voice, which is one of the most painful things I’ve ever done because the people that I’m working with have the capability of ruining the one relationship that has met the world to me with my husband being here. That is the worst feeling to get your dignity and respect ripped away because you love someone and want to spend your life with someone that was not born in your country. I’m so sorry you had to deal with what you dealt with and I pray deep down that all gets taken care of. Not every agent I’ve spoken to has been a poor character. I have had some really good customer service reps who I spoke to for questions be very validating and even cry with me. I want to believe there’s more good people out there than bad so I pray that all works well with you.

@J S Pierre thank you for sharing your experience with me. Sometimes I really don’t understand why some people have to make others feel as if they are less than. Some don’t know how to separate their personal feelings from the job. It’s just a sad situation but I’m still hopeful.

@Jane Day I spoke with one the same day after the interview. I’m about to put mailed them everything I already present them with because at this point there is nothing else to add to what we already have except for a sonogram which I don’t have, maybe if they give us some more time😂😂. They gave us until May 30 to respond.

@B B if they send you RFE your husband should approve soon after they will receive it ! good luck and keep us updated
