@salome k it can be public charge for answering NO instead of YES, sometimes they lost medical so resubmission of i693, or further translation of birth certificate etc. or 485 J supplement

@salome k it's a possibility..sometimes they ask for latest documents from employer side or yours such as W2 etc . if case is been in process for sometimes and/or it's been while last documents submitted.

@Ash B we sent the medicals with the rest and it was received in November 2023 @Y J I don't see what else we could translate on the birth certificate, did they ask you to translate more than twice ? it's already twice for my husband. @salome k for 485J, if you submit i485 as individual separate submission after your i140 approval, i485J supplement is necessary as part of the submission, its only not necessary if you are concurrently filing i140 and i485 at the same time. even you stay at the same company, another common rfe is public charge which a lot of lawyer made mistake by putting no but all eb based have to put yes on question 62

@salome k for question 62 its requirement that eb base / family base must put yes, only asylum / refugee etc can put No. because my coworker eb based get RFE for putting no, only we realize it’s actually in uscis website instruction. but no worries and keep us posted. they send RFE meaning they are processing your case very soon it’s a good sign for approval soon once you reply the RFE 🤘🏼🤞🏻

My process goes through my employer as well. It sucks to wait so long after the medical documents were filed. And now, a second RFE—I’m scared of what they might want from me. My I-140 was approved at the beginning of this year. Fingerprints were filed in February, and the medical documents in March. After 8 months with no updates, I get an RFE now. I can’t even sleep, work, or eat. What could it be? :( What was your RFE after medical documents?

@El One I am so sorry , I am really upset as well and stressed. my rfe was never about medicals , it was the birth certificate , ID pictures, ID copies and for me the 1st rfe was the employer letter to re affirm my position is still offered to me. I am still waiting to get in the mail the new RFE.

@salome k I’m so sorry about you straggling :( How long after submitting the I-140 and I-485 did you receive the RFE about the employer letter? How long have you been waiting since you filed the I-140 and I-485?

@El One I have the i 140 already since february, I am just waiting for the i-485 . all of it was submitted in November 2023 and the first RFE for i-485 was early January for IDs, and other proofs for my employment where we provided paystubs and w-2 up to 2022 and then in March is when they asked for pictures for both of us and another birth certificate for my husband. I got confused about the employment letter , it was requested by the lawyer afterwards last year but not an RFE from what I see in my emails. the process is so long I get confused on all those RFE... The new one is coming in the mail today so I will keep you posted. I guess it is the w2 2023 and will be solved quickly. good luck to you too , let me know what you receive .

@El One @Y J it was form i-508 for both of us, which was already provided so we signed again and resent . the lawyer is sending the response and I hope it can be received fast! I will let you know hopefully in another post! thank you all for your support

Also, a few days ago, after a long wait, I finally received my Advance Parole. It arrived in an open envelope, and unlike my daughter and wife, who each received two Advance Parole documents, I only got one. I’m not sure if the envelope was opened and one of the Advance Parole documents was stolen, or if they only sent me one in the first place. Either way, the envelope was tampered with. I’ve contacted my lawyer to ask what to do, but I haven’t received a response yet.

@El One ok hopefully you get the card soon , mine was received february 2024 with validity until end of 2029 so at least I could get a new DLbefore the last one expires good luck for the wait , it will arrive soon.

@salome k In my case, this RFE was about a Military ID. Although we sent everything, the officer had additional questions, so… my employer will be sending additional information about my Military Status.

After a long wait, today my status is "card is being produced" !!! so happy. Wishing all of you the best of luck, and do not lose hope while you wait ! thank you for the support !

@El One , RFE was mailed back Friday(overnight), it showed received on Monday , and today Wednesday both cases updated to Card is being produced . I am so relieved! wishing you and all some good news soon as well !
