@Abby Lesly I sent a birth certificate and medical. Call the 1-800 number and ask if your file has been transferred to a field office. 485 is decided at the field office not service centers (national benifits). It takes months after a REF for them to send it to the field office and then it depends on the speed of the field office. Took 6 months for them to send my RFE to the field office. Once at the field office, I was approved within a week no interview.

@Kingsley B I sent it directly to queens NY field office after I did my interview the officer gave me a while paper case being held for review I just had my baby and didn’t received his birth paper as yet he told me they might need it when I got home the information for the rfe was emailed to me with the mailing address I mailed it and got a response that they received it I also uploaded it online should I still call ? also I spoke with Emma I was told they would make a decision in 60 days today makes it 56 days so I’m wondering if Emma is accurate

@Abby Lesly If you sent it to the field office directly and you have been interviewed, then you are just waiting to hear back from them. This means they are being slow with approving you. I am sorry this is happening to you. if you call USCIS they will not be able to tell you anything as an officer has it at a field office. so many people do not know that field offices decide on 485.
