resources I found so far (links in comments)
I wanted to share some resources that may be helpful if your case has been pending for a long time and is now outside of the processing range (you can check if your case is within the processing range here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/) 1) You can reach out to your congressman/congresswoman, who can send an inquiry to the USCIS about your case. They will receive an answer back. This may be the same information you already know but worth a try. You can find your congresswoman/man here: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative 2) You may also reach out to the Ombudsman office. https://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman Typically, they deal with cases past processing time, cases with errors, cases where an individual is in removal processings, cases involving emergencies and hardship, and other reasons (please refer to the full list thru the link). I also started a group on Telegram where we can communicate: https://t.me/+jGAv6ngoDxoxNGIx You can also send me a message on Telegram and I’ll add you to the group: my name on there is @Kay_1992 (Bunny K is me) #asylum #tsc #nbc #uscis #greencard #i-730 #resources

EDIT: currently, they may only deal with cases that meet other criteria besides just the processing time delay. anonymous, you can ask congressperson to inquire, but 10 days is a little short. I’d wait a little

Vee, I’m not sure, you’d have to look at what they recognize as reasons to expedite. Probably best to discuss with a lawyer or the employer’s lawyer

what will the congressman ask for?meaning by my information
K
Katie KJan 26, 2022
no, it’s not the same thing. expedite request is done thru uscis. a congressman just asks uscis on your behalf about what’s going on with your case, why it’s taking so long. They just need your info and the case number. and address
