Request of Initial Evidence for my step-child
I filed for my two kids. one my biological n the other my step-child, USCIS is requesting initial evidence for my step-child and a deadline was given for submission. My worry is do these evidence have to be submitted before they will look into the biological child application? secondly, do I have a chance to withdraw my step-child application because with the timeline I’m not able to submit all the documents? lastly, does USCIS approved all applications the same time if that was the same petitioner?

@Jonice Taylor-Barnes Thanks but with the deadline given I won’t be able to get all those documents and no decision has been made on the other kid file. I’m concerned knowing that won’t be met while can not I withdraw the other.

@ I don’t know what is the medical/health record for my step child.
Medical records or health records;
• Church records or religious documents;
• Early school records;
• Insurance records;
• Employment records;
• Financial records (tax returns);
• Census or tribal records;
• Government records or identification documents.
Any evidence submitted should include:
• The name of the child and the child's parents);
• Dates (e.g. dates of the child's birth, religious event, school attendance, hospital admittance, etc.);
• Stamp, seal, signature of issuing official, authorized personnel, etc.
AFFIDAVITS (IF SECONDARY EVIDENCE IS NOT AVAILABLE)
If none of the above secondary evidence is available, you must first establish that such evidence is not available by submitting evidence of non-existence. After doing so, tertiary evidence, such as affidavits, may be submitted. However, be aware that affidavits will only be accorded minimal weight unless they are accompanied by other independent and objective evidence that corroborates the affiants' statements.
Affidavits must:
• Be submitted by at least two individuals who are not parties to this petition and who have direct personal knowledge of the benefic
• NOTE: USCIS will not consider a single statement signed by multiple individuals.
Each person must submit their own affidavit attesting to their personal knowledge of the event.
• Include:
• The full name and address of the affiant;
• The date and place of birth of the affiant;
• The relationship between the affiant and parties to this petition;
• Full information regarding the event; for example, the date and place of a birth of the child (including both parents) names), the date and place of marriage, divorce, death, etc.; and
• Complete details concerning how the affiant acquired knowledge of the event.

-you can get medical records from the primary care physician. they always have the medical records
-for church, if you are catholic, a baptismal, confirmation card will suffice. anyone in your church can also write
-school records can be obtained from the school or even present school if available, like school results, school ID,cerificates from school
-insurance records if the kid has insurance or yours if the kid is a dependent
-your employment records to show financial coverage
- census or tribal can be a sworn affidavit from the county showing where he/she is from.
-govt record: will be birth certificate or sworn affidavit to show proof of birth.
if you can provide most of the above that might work since you are not the biological parent. good luck!

@ify love Thanks for the clarity that the medical record is just to proved the child be visiting the hospital on my name.
— so the employment record will be given my work history because the child is a under 18?
- The financial record is going to be my 1040 right but this will not include her name so how do I reference that? because it says every document must have the child name on it .
. with ur thoughts I have gotten relieved to start immediately
