@Ab ok if you've never submitted medicals, you will have to. They will ask for them. Right now they don't expire like before, so even if your case is not even approved yet, but you're positive about it, you can get your medicals done so when they ask you can send right away. Depending on where you live, it can take weeks to see a civil surgeon. You'll be saving time to just have it ready. Also, if you need shots, you can't get 2 in the same series at the same time, which means you'll waste even more time waiting 30 days to get the second shot. Sometimes they'll just note time didn't allow for the second shot, but who knows? Best to see a civil surgeon now and get what you need done.

@Kerry S oh wow I never knew that I can do medicals without the notice.. thanks for the update. I have an approved vawa, just waiting for my i485 to update to rfe. I’ll go ahead and do the medicals and be ready. I have vaxing from 2021 during Covid.

@Ab ok you're going to have to get the 2023 covid vaccine/booster. I had to. They have a 2024 one now that's new as well so you'll have to get the current one. I guess 2023 is fine but 2024 is better for them. Your surgeon will advise. You'll also have to complete some tests that only your civil surgeon can order even if you've already done them before, so book an appointment now.

also curious I didn’t get a notice that my case. was transferred to field office or anything on i485.. only got Request for intial evidence ..which I have not recieved in the mail yet .. is that normal ?? and how long will the letter for request for intial evidence come in the mail ?

@lily rose yes these days they are sending 2nd rfe for i864w , so if you haven’t sent it in the past add it in RFE, also it take 5-10 days to receive rfe in mail

I just got the same notification as well. Fingers crossed it’s medical. Did mine mid-last month already… I haven’t gotten the physical copy of the notification yet but lawfully indicates it’s a request for initial evidence… the process has been exhausting and I can’t wait, really praying and hoping 🙏🏽😩

@O O when was your vawa approved? mine was july 2024 and havent get an RFE 🥲🥲

@reto mont approved july as well. That was why I went ahead to do my medicals just incase and to give me hope
