@s k Hi, sorry you’re dealing with this, losing an advance parole document can be very frustrating.
If you file Form I-131 now, current processing for renewal/replacement advance parole is usually 3–6 months, though some cases move faster. Since your VAWA is already approved and USCIS has received your I-485 medical, that’s a positive sign, but unfortunately it doesn’t always speed up parole automatically.
For a document lost by USPS, some applicants also include a brief explanation and proof of loss with the new filing.
To give more precise guidance: are you planning to travel soon for an emergency, or is this just to have parole ready?

@Chelsea Wright actually for both the reasons to have it ready and bit of emergency as well but not extreme and really thank you for taking time and responding I really appreciate

@s k Thank you for explaining, and you’re very welcome, I’m glad it helped.
Since it’s both to have it ready and for a potential (but not extreme) emergency, the safest approach is to re-file Form I-131 as soon as possible so you’re covered. With a replacement filing, many people include:
• a short statement explaining the document was lost by USPS
• any tracking or USPS confirmation (if available)
• a copy of the original approval notice, if you still have it
If the situation later becomes more urgent (medical or family-related), you can request an expedite after filing, as long as you have supporting evidence.
One quick question so I can be more precise: is your I-485 still pending at NBC, or has it moved to a field office yet?
