both- if it’s a joint motion to terminate the judge will just terminate and have you refile the 485 at your local USCIS field office or if you go through the hearing he can render his decision where he grants you AOS and you get your greencard

@sam Bek. Did you got an update from Chicago office? my wife got I 485 approved by the judge and we trying to get an appointment for infopass and to get her passport stamped but is month and we can’t get an infopass they saying is no available appointment time

no updates yet things taking for ever …

no I’m not there yet waiting my case with ICE but for the info pass, if there is no response every 30 days you can call and ask again

in general my attorney asked me to submit 20 picture and 5 letters from friends and family talking about my moral and manners and how I am good character person also copy of the approval I-130 all my certificates and degrees in the US during my time and bank statements and 2-3 different bills my name on it and taxes for the past 2 years and police report that I have clean background without any crime or felony and a letter from me telling ICE who I am and what I have done (self history) and asking ICe to terminate my case

my lawyer set this thinks too an a lot of marriage proves I think your lawyer is trying to close your case then fill with uscis wich I don’t recommend

why you don’t recommend? I don’t have a hearing date for my asylum case. i don’t know if I have other options

my lawyer file an motion to terminate my wife case in court she was in removal procedings we should have her next court date in July but I become citizen in February and my lawyer requested a new court date as my wife is eligible for I 485 as she is married with an citizen we got our court date in may she got biometrics and medical done at beginning of may at court we provided judge with all paperwork and she was approved on the spot took us 1.5?months I don’t believe with uscis was faster but all cases are different

my wife is citizen and I have no court date at all I don’t know other options I already have I-485 with immigration court for asylum and I have I-485 for my I-130 approval so I have no other options 🥲

I waited 2 years with nothing I checked the processing time and it was 3 days past that time I called uscis and asked them what’s going on, they send me interview bc it was passed the processing time if you don’t call uscis no one will touch your case

@reaching : good luck ! my interview is tomorrow. my I-130 hasn’t been approved for 19 months and I filed I-485 feb 2022. interview will be for i-485 and obviously I-130. I’m in removal proceeding. filed PD last month and no news. i hope I will get my i-130 approved
