same case as yours only thing am ir5 I have been waiting exactly 15 months now that case is also in texas you will not hear nothing out of them that's I refile now my new case is in nbc since March

I’m in the same situation mine was terminated in Mar/22 still waiting too and the field office is Texas too

same thing with me. it’s been 7 months nothing has changed

Douglas, were you ever arrested for staying beyond the visa time limit? How did you have the removal proceedings? I'm sorry to want to know about this, but I have a situation similar to yours.

@w moo I only had the option to upload documents with our i-130 under my wife's uscis account. I don't have that option now with the I-485 for some reason.

@Dan I never got arrested. I just got a letter several months later after getting the extension denied saying I had a court date.

@j's case ol I don't know what you mean by a waiver. He filed to get my removal proceedings terminated by a judge if thats what you mean.

people are messing up , you should not file 485 with uscis when you are in proceedings just follow pre order instructions from uscis website.

same here was on removal processing … I file 130 first got approved at January 3. then you have to close case with the court … so I hired lawyer just to deal with court removal case were closed at April this year and only then after you apply for 485. I applied at begging of may … National benefit center(the worst (()got my docs from Chicago … everything was fast so far … did biometrics June 10 now showing - case actively reviewed by uscis, just waiting … I was hoping that my FO will got my case because they are fast, but unfortunately you can’t choose it or move it there (((

well I don’t think so … any lawyer can tell you … you CANT have 2 opened cases with Uscis … it’s impossible!

same situation, my lawyer send a latter to the national benefit center and to uscis ,and told them to transfer the case to the uscis now just waiting

@Alena Mez yes you can I have two my lawyer told me it's ok whichever one they reach to first they close the other so the other day I call uscis I ask the agent he told me the say thing my lawyer said

not when you have your case in court and in my case I had 7 courts in total and decision prosecution description … and my friend just had court scheduled for next year and his stupid lawyer applied for green card in this airy and got green card denied ((( now he hired normal lawyer who can do joint motion for him … and he will spend more money $1225 and plus new lawyer, because uscis never return money even if they denied case

uscis normally administratively close your case why they deny his that's what they did with mine so you can reopen after dismissed from the judge

@si l do you know what kind of letter he sent? my lawyer said he emailed the immigration lawyer but haven't heard anything back yet. But never mentioned about sending a letter.... I've called USCIS this past Monday explaining my situation and said I needed to schedule an infopass appointment in order to give them my termination letter personally so they could transfer my case. The officer said they would call me back in 30 days to schedule it. I've seen some people mentioned that approach here and thought I would give it a try after confiming with my lawyer if that was a possibility in my case. Hopefully that gets it transfered or at least gets their attention to do something about it.

Douglas, I had the same issue and I called several times ir order to win an info pass to personally deliver the judges decision. I found out then that the 485 goes to eoir in Texas only for computer entry purposes. they’re not actually processing it. During infopass they gave me a stamp on my passport and told me he’d work on my case that same day. I received the green card a week after. I asked him if he could see where my case was and he said it was at their national archive center. Keep calling until you can personally go there. best of luck.

@Ren pin my i485 case being in texas since March of 2021 your telling they not going to do a damn thing with my case

@Ren Pin, thanks for the insight. how long did it take the court to terminate your removal proceedings? I just recently file a motion for termination, will the court invite me come? pls give me a little insight about this process with the court.

tas smith- I’m just sharing what happened with my case and what I found out about this type of case. I’m sorry if I added more anxiety. I actually had just come back to this app to find an info for a friend and came across this post and I felt like I needed to share since it took a lot of research on my end and many calls with the Uscis until I found one that knew what he was dealing with and actually helped me. My case was terminated in June and I only got an info pass in February.

@Ren it's ok thanks very much I already refile i485 in March it's at nbc my lawyer tried everything with texas still nothing am thankful you shared with us hope others get to see it

I did call USCIS requesting an info pass app to go there and hand in the termination letter, they said 30 days I would get a call from them to schedule it. But 3 weeks later they sent an email back, instead of calling, telling me there wasn't any available appointments at my Field office for in-person appointment and for me not to call again because they would email me back when there were any openings. Which is ridiculous, cuz there's no timeline for that. Did you come across this problem? what did you mean you had to call several times? to talk to someone or to keep requesting a info pass in-person?

I requested a info pass appointment by calling USCIS and they returned my call almost 3 months later. The officer said they would send an notice/email to my FO and that they should contact me for more info. A week later I got an email from FO saying that my Expedite request was denied even though I never requested one, only wanted to request that my case be transfered. But last month I contacted them again though the chat and the live agent said it had been transfered to my FO on Nov 1, 2022. And that's all I have. Just waiting for my interview now.
