Removal proceedings, pending I-130
Hi all,
I am married to a US citizen with pd May 8 2023. On October 27 2023 my I485 got Administratively Closed and that’s how I learned I was in removal proceedings. A little after I learned I had a Master Hearing scheduled for May 15 2024 and the reason why was because I got a B2 visa extension denied back in 2018.
I have reached out to the paralegals that helped us file my green card paperwork and they informed me we should make efforts to have USCIS approve my I130, which hasn’t happened yet despite the multiple calls my wife and I had made. Since the hearing is happening next week, I have very low expectations about getting it approved before May 15th.
Could anyone assist with how I should proceed in front of the judge in order to have my I130 approved and my case dismissed? I am extremely nervous, specially because I have no lawyer and will attend to the hearing remotely.

never ever go to immigration hearing by yourself. Never!!! . go and get a lawyer to represent you . government attorney will fuck u up

have you reached out to your senator or congressperson for assistance yet? probably a long shot in this amount of time but worth a try. best of luck

@T Y maybe they can even get your court date rescheduled so you have a better chance of getting the 130 approved first. 🤞🏼

so, the judge was very polite and rescheduled my master hearing to march 2025 so I could get a lawyer, which I was thankful for. Now I’m just rooting to get my I-130 approved by USCIS in time so I can get my case dismissed with the help of a lawyer. thank you all
