i just closed my case administratively. my lawyer charge only 500$ for that.

what's your reason for closing it? I have a TPS pending plus I'm about to send in my i130 marriage base in. do u think that's enough to close it

yea Navjot singh is right… I closed my own case too. all my lawyer did was tell them my i130 is still pending and the judge administratively closed the case. it will work same way for you . don’t get a lawyer that will charge you a lot because this is pretty simple

@jenn K to me my opinion is that I don’t think you should close you case since you want to apply for I-130. when you go to your next hearing you should tell the judge that you have a pending I-130 and also you have TPS the Judge will give you time for your I-130 to be approved then you will go back to the judge to file your i-485 in front of the judge or ask him to terminate your removal then you file with USCIS Bc if you administratively close your case now when I-130 is approved you will need to apply to the judge to reopen your case and that my take you some time before you get a new court date. that’s just my opinion good luck

@cj thanks for your response but when u administratively close a case it doesn't mean anything but they just take that case off the court calendar it doesn't mean your case is over and no when my I 130 approved I can use the approval notice and send a copy of it tro the judge and ask him to terminate my case and if he does terminate the case I can just use that terminate to apply with uscis. that's just what I've hear from others who have been through this process before but I'm still gonna get a lawyer's advise on this because u might be right

is there anyway one can ask judge to administrative close case while I-130 is pending without a lawyer. my lawyer ask for $1000 and I already paid $400 and we stop the process because I want to wait until January to ask the judge but again she ask for another $1000 which will be $1400

one asked me $3500
