so guys I think they might have placed me in removal proceedings while my vawa is still pending. I checked my inform delivery and I see a piece of mail coming from the department of justice immigration court in Miami.

@bugu5420 Robinson When WOULD someone be put in proceedings? While it is rare for a pending petitioner, there are only a few specific triggers that could cause USCIS to issue a Notice to Appear (NTA) in immigration court: • Serious Criminal History: If you have convictions for "Aggravated Felonies" or "Crimes Involving Moral Turpitude" that were not waived. • Final Denial: If your I-360 is officially denied (not just a NOID, but a final denial) AND you are in the U.S. without any other legal basis to stay. • Fraud: If USCIS finds evidence that the marriage or the abuse claims were intentionally fabricated.
