Regarding continuing/leaving my job after finishing contracted one year.
Hi Good People! I always get helpful information from this community and I really appreciated this. My AOS (Eb-3 unskilled) application is pending and PD is April 31, 2022. I started working under my employer from last June 13, 2023 and the contracted one year will be finished in next june 12, 2024. My question is that, If I leave my job after finishing contracted 1 year and I start my study again or if I not join any other job (because if I join any other job, it’s need to file I-485J, and I don’t want to file any supplement, it’s better for me to stay unemployed). Is that create any problem in my GC approval? Please suggest me what will be best for me. Your feedback will be very appriciatable. Best Regards

Please read what you have written, and make it more coherent and consistent by focusing your target response, so people can understand. Rental etc. details is not relevant to GC process. If you want to be a student, I believe GC process will be affected since you will need I-20 form. It can make the things complicated. If I were you, I would be patient by staying the place where you applied GC.

@Al O Thanks so much. I just want to know that if I stay unemployed after contracted one year of my work. Does it wise for me?

I would not do it before getting I-140 approval.

Fatima you must continuing work, it is not a choice it is an obligation
Al OFeb 5, 2024
If i-485 is pending more than 180 days then yes; you can leave your sponsor company; if not , it is in the grey area. Depending on USCIS reviewer.

i think you should continue to work park time with different employer who agree to sign your i485j or current employer.i only work 2 days a week or 1 day after finishing my contract. I got RFE about paystub during part time work. If they ask, but you don’t have. it’s not good for your application. You don’t need to send the i485j to USCIS until they ask or go to interview.
