@Tom Hank’s Hans, what was the reason for denial? I am waiting almost 5 years. I didn’t get any updates, no rfe. Just waiting.

@summerlover 07 When I married to her I never thought about the documentation part or green card but unfortunately I had very few evidences of photos and some proof of abuse and that’s why I had a long denial letter. Somehow the new lawyer had drafted story explaining in detail which would had convinced the reviewer about our relationship and abuse with couple of affidavits. I have a question for you! Did you receive any prima facie during this 5 years wait time? If you have then that is a plus, but I noticed some rare cases of long wait approval is due to background check.

@K t I agree that refile will be considered as a new application because a new uscis officer will be assigned to it. Since I have combo card I am planning to fly for 2 weeks vacation from work to my country to chill out the stress because it’s been 7 long years I had never been out of US. I was so frustrated and had a pathetic life in the begining until recently I settled to find a job in my own profession. When I looked back to those hard times I can’t even imagine how I had tolerated and endured. Whatever happened I am thankful to God.

@summerlover 07 Do not worry!! I know some cases were decided after they received 7 PFs. Moght be they have over looked your application or background check which had delayed to such an extend. Should hear the good news soon!

@K t In the previous denied VAWA application, I never received a PF. But I received two RFEs.

@summerlover 07 I have a very important question. Since the time I arrived US in 2017, I had not had any chance to visit my homeland. Now, through refile of VAWA in Sep 2023, I had got a combo card ( EAD + Advance parole) for 5 years validity. Should I take a risk to leave or not? I am only worried that since I am divorced and have no ties, there might be a risk of letting me into the U.S. port if the case outcome is not favorable. Am also thinking though this refile would be considered as a new application, the decision might be quick unlike a fresh application which would process between 2 to 3 years normally.
