Reconciliation after Vawa
Hey Folks, i need some certain information on my case by the ones who had similar case with me because i talked with some lawyers and wasted my money since i got ideas which is not the same by each lawyer. My wife is US citizen, and we are in marriage for 1.5 years. I applied for green card application after like 3-4 month and got my combo card already. Unfortunately, 2-3 month ago We had serious conflicts with my wife and i filed for Vawa independently (without hiring lawyer) but did not submit any evidence. After a month, we reconciled since my wife apologized and we kinda made things figured out. My question is in short, what do i need to do now. My i-485 case is canceled now?, since i applied for vawa? if not can i process with i-485 case and what they gonna ask in interview if they schedule one for us?

Continue with the marriage based one and withdrawal your VAWA application. Your I485 is still valid. Good luck to you. Tune in to Brad show live on YouTube and ask Brad. He is a good lawyer.

we can withdraw your vawa.. and focus on your wife... make sur she really want to do it before to cancel your i360....you can't have 2 different cases with uscis....at the i130 interview they will ask you the reason why you cancel the vawa. and you will explain..that's not your wife business. you are responsible for your your vawa...

augustin boumi can you advice better lawyer on this case to consult or work with. I consulted and wasted money here wuth lawfully lawyers. He did not tell exact thing

@Bob M my lawyer said I can’t have 2 petitions with USCIS , he said I will stuck In between both and the best idea is to withdraw vawa I told my wife about it and my lawyer told her to make a statement for me and send it to USCIS base on I 130 that we back together which she did after that the lawyer sent in to withdraw my vawa and we’re still waiting to hear back from them. my wife knew I filled the Vawa because she went to jail because of that and after she came back she can’t come back to the house because of PFA and the house is for her. when she called me I asked her if I will take her back we will go through marriage counseling together which she agreed. we were there for 3 months when I see the changes, I went back to judge to vacate the PFA.. she has been doing great since March and no more alcohol for her.
